Market Watch (Şeker Yatırım)

Outlook:
The BIST100 Index started Thursday flat and followed a selling trend throughout the day, closing at 10,871.48, down 1.09%. While the Industrial Index lost 0.95% the Banking Index continued to lead the sales, down 2.39%. Given the lack of short-term expectations for the BIST, profit-taking pressure starting from peak levels continues and momentum is weakening. We may observe reactionary purchases in the BIST100 Index at the current level. Additionally, since we are in the balance sheet period, we expect share-based divergences to become evident. On the global front, the USA's 2nd Quarter growth data released yesterday printed at 2.8%, above the 2% expectation. Good macroeconomic data suppresses risk appetite with the perception that the Fed will not be hasty with interest rate cuts. Yesterday, the U.S. and European stock markets closed with declines. After midweek sales U.S. futures, German DAX futures and Asian stock markets in general are on a buying trend this morning. Core personal consumption expenditures data, considered an inflation indicator in the USA, will be followed today. We expect the data to impact risk appetite. The VIOP30 Index ended the evening session up 0.10%. Locally, we expect the Benchmark Index to start Friday somewhat positively and fluctuate thereafter. SUPPORT: 10,800 - 10,600 RESISTANCE: 11,000 - 11,100.
