Outlook:
The BIST100 Index started Monday on a negative trend, followed a weak intraday course and closed at 9,997.85, down 1.06%. The Industrial Index lost 1.32% and the Banking Index fell 0.27%. The fact that Moody's did not update Turkey's credit rating on Friday evening caused yesterday's sales at the BIST. The decrease in risk appetite among global markets prompted further sales. Internationally, after the introduction of China's new artificial intelligence tool Deepseek, European and U.S. stock markets have declined, led by technology stocks. Yesterday, the U.S. technology index, Nasdaq, closed down 3+%. This morning, the U.S. futures are mixed and German DAX futures are slightly negative. Markets in China will be closed for the rest of the week starting today for the Chinese New Year, and most open Asian stock markets are priced positively. We expect markets to remain guided by data and key announcements. The VIOP30 Index completed the evening session up 0.18%. Locally, we expect the Benchmark Index to start Tuesday flat and continue to fluctuate during the day if reaction purchases remain limited. SUPPORT: 9,850 - 9,750 RESISTANCE: 10,150 - 10,250.
