Outlook:
The BIST 100 Index started Friday with a fluctuating course, falling to 9,474 amid mounting selling pressure towards the closing. The Benchmark Index closed at 9,602.16, down 2.09%. The Industrial Index lost 2.13% and the Banking Index fell 1.74%. On a weekly basis, while the BIST100 Index decreased by 2.79% and the Industrial Index lost 3.12%, the Banking Index diverged relatively positively, down 0.64%. The BIST continues to weaken due to the lack of a short-term uptrend and the recent rise in domestic political news flows. Meanwhile, 4Q24 balance sheets indicating weak profitability are also effective in the BIST's negative course. Despite the return potential of alternative income instruments, the weak fluctuating course may continue at the BIST, again, in the absence of a short-term catalyst. In global markets profit sales were observed in major stock markets last week. While German DAX futures and U.S. futures rose this morning, Asian stock markets fell after the Trump administration's new moves targeting China. The markets today will follow Eurozone inflation data, the election results in Germany, and Trump's moves. The VIOP30 Index closed the Friday evening session down 0.11%. Locally, we expect the Benchmark Index to start Monday with reaction purchases and seek to maintain its positive trend if intraday profit sales are met. SUPPORT: 9,500 - 9,400 RESISTANCE: 9,750 - 9,850.
