Market Watch (Şeker Yatırım)

Outlook:
The BIST100 Index started Monday positively, but failed to maintain its strength, following a selling trend for the rest of the day to close at 10,422.24, down 0.81%. While news that the Competition Board had initiated an investigation into certain retail companies and suppliers negatively affected sector stocks, the Industrial Index increased by 0.24% and the Banking Index gained 0.16%. We find profit taking normal in the BIST100 Index, which increased by nearly 9% last week. Global markets started the new week amid weakness, as growth concerns stemming from Trump's policies have dented risk appetite. Yesterday, the U.S. stock markets closed with a 4% decrease and European stock markets with a 1.7% decrease. This morning, purchases were observed in the U.S. futures and German DAX futures, while Asian stock markets are on a selling trend. The VIOP30 Index completed the evening session down 0.15%. Locally, we expect the Benchmark Index to start Tuesday flat and seek to rise later in the day if profit taking is met. SUPPORT: 10,400 - 10,250 RESISTANCE: 10,565 - 10,685.
