Market Watch (Şeker Yatırım)

The BIST100 Index started Tuesday on a positive trend, fluctuated during the day but maintained its course to close at 9,715.58, up 4.48%. The Industrial Index increased by 3.82% and the Banking Index gained 5.31%. Banking stocks positively diverged after the share repurchase facility granted to banks by the BRSA. Following the sharp sales of last week, reaction purchases continued yesterday at the BIST. The recent positive communication between the U.S. and Turkey and the meetings held by Treasury and Finance Minister Simsek with foreign investors have supported this positive atmosphere. The volatility reducing measures of the CBRT, BIST and CMB have also supported the balancing process. Global risk appetite has maintained its strength, whereby the U.S. and European stock markets rose yesterday. This morning the U.S. futures and German DAX futures are negative, while Asian stock markets are on a positive course. The VIOP30 Index in Turkey closed the evening session down 1.16%. After two days of increases, we expect the Benchmark Index to start Wednesday with a sell-off and follow a volatile course thereafter. SUPPORT: 9,500 - 9,400 RESISTANCE: 9,800 - 9,900.
