Outlook:
The BIST100 Index started Friday flat but gained strength amid intraday purchases to close at 9,390.51, up 1.20%. The Industrial Index rose by 0.86% and the Banking Index gained 0.41%. On a weekly basis, the BIST100 increased by 2.43%, while the Industrial Index gained 1.40% and the Banking Index increased by 1.11%. The BIST, whose short-term expectations were weakened by rising interest rates after the Central Bank strengthened its tight stance, continues to fluctuate with stock-based separations due to the impact of 1Q25 bal
ance sheet announcements. Global risk appetite was strengthened last week with expectations regarding U.S.-China trade talks. As the parties announced that great progress had been made in the talks that started on Saturday, the U.S. futures are up over 1% this morning, while German DAX futures and Asian stock markets are also rising. We expect the announcements from the Russia-Ukraine peace talks and tariff talks, which are reportedly to be held in Istanbul this week, to continue shaping risk appetite. The VIOP30 Index in Turkey closed the Friday evening session up 0.32%. Locally, we expect the Benchmark Index to start Monday positively and continue its uptrend if intraday profit sales are met. SUPPORT: 9,250 - 9,150 RESISTANCE: 9,500 - 9,600.
