Outlook:
The BIST100 Index started Monday on a positive trend by leaving a price gap, maintaining the trend throughout the day amid widespread purchases to close at 9,747.07, up 3.80%. The Industrial Index gained 3.14% and the Banking Index rose by 4.41%. News that talks between the U.S. and China are progressing positively, and that peace talks will be held between Russia and Ukraine in Istanbul on Thursday supported risk appetite in global markets. The BIST moved in parallel to its international counterparts. U.S. stock markets ended the day with increases of 4.3% and European bourses with increases of 1.4%. The U.S. and China have significantly reduced reciprocal tariffs for 90 days, and the U.S. has said it will remove the non-tariff barriers it applies to Chinese imports. Profit taking was observed in the U.S. futures this morning, while Asian stock markets are mixed (China is positive) and the German DAX futures are priced positively. We expect the tariff talks to continue affecting risk appetite. Meanwhile, CPI data will be released in the U.S. today. The VIOP30 Index closed the evening session up 0.30%. Locally, we expect the Benchmark Index to start Tuesday flat, and continue to rise if intraday profit sales are met. SUPPORT: 9,600 - 9,500 RESISTANCE: 9,850 - 9,950.
