Market Watch (Şeker Yatırım)

The BIST100 Index started Wednesday on a negative trend, made upward attempts during the day, but ultimately closed at 9,398.93, down 1.21% amid mounting selling pressure towards the close. The Industrial Index lost1.14% and the Banking Index fell by 0.88%. The lack of positive short-term expectations limits interest in the BIST, and declining risk appetite in global markets also reflects negatively on the bourse. In Turkey the CBRT announces its second Inflation Report of the year today. The main headlines to be followed will be the outlook in the 2025-2027 inflation forecast path and the messages to be given regarding the monetary stance. We note that market expectations may change and short-term fluctuations may be experienced in macro indicators according to any updates to the CBRT year-end inflation forecast (24%) reflecting recent economic and geopolitical developments. With rising concerns over the U.S. economy in global markets negatively impacting risk appetite, the U.S. stock markets faced sales of up to 1.9% yesterday, while European counterparts were mixed. Reactionary purchases were observed in the U.S. futures this morning, while German DAX futures and Asian stock markets were negative. The VIOP30 Index completed the evening session with a limited positive performance of 0.03%. Locally, we expect the Benchmark Index to start Thursday flat, with reaction attempts to follow if sales are met. SUPPORT: 9,250 - 9,150, RESISTANCE: 9,500 - 9,600.
