Outlook:
The BIST 100 Index started Thursday flat ahead of the Eid al-Adha holiday, followed a flat half-day trading course and closed at 9,486.56, up 0.12%. The Industrial Index fell by 0.08% while the Banking Index fell by 0.21%. Following last week's May inflation data that printed below expectations, the Benchmark Index gained 5.18% last week as interest rate cut expectations regained strength. The Industrial Index rose by 3.83% and the Banking Index climbed 8.10%. Global stock markets followed a mixed course while domestic markets were closed for the holiday. The ECB cut interest rates by 25 bps while domestic markets were closed, and the U.S. Non-Farm Employment data printed slightly above expectations. The feeling that trade negotiations between the U.S. and China were progressing positively has supported the markets. Those negotiations remain the key factor of sentiment, and this morning global risk appetite is on a positive track. The U.S,. German DAX futures and Asian stock markets are generally on a positive trend this morning. Locally, we expect the Benchmark Index to start Tuesday on an uptrend, which it will likely maintain if any profit sales are met later in the day. SUPPORT: 9,300 - 9,250 RESISTANCE: 9,600 - 9,700.
