Market watch (Şeker Yatırım)

The BIST 100 Index started Monday on a negative trend, which it continued throughout the day to close at 9,141.31, down 0.67%. The Banking Index was positive, up 0.59%, while the Industrial Index closed the day down 0.99%. The U.S.'s de facto involvement in the war by striking three nuclear facilities in Iran increased the risk perception in global markets and was effective in sell-offs in the markets. Global markets, on the other hand, followed a mixed trend on Monday. While European stock markets closed the day with sales, U.S. counterparts saw increases after the pullback in rising oil prices. Risk appetite is positive this morning due to the effect of falling oil prices following news flows that a ceasefire has been reached between Iran and Israel. While increases of nearly 1% are seen in the U.S. and German futures markets, a generally positive trend is also dominant in Asian bourses. The VIOP-30 Index completed the evening session positively, up 1.21%. Locally, we expect the Benchmark Index to start Tuesday with a bullish trend amid news of the reported ceasefire, and to try to maintain this trend throughout the day. SUPPORT: 9,100 - 9,000 RESISTANCE: 9,250 - 9,350.

Money Market:

The Lira was negative yesterday, weakening 0.14% against the USD to close at 39.7298. The currency also depreciated by 0.22% against a basket of $0.50 and €0.50. Meanwhile, the local fixed income markets were negative. The ten-year benchmark bond yield fluctuated between a range of 33.46%-33.51%, closing the day at 33.49%, up 16 bps from the previous close.
