Market Watch (Şeker Yatırım)

The BIST 100 Index started Monday on a positive trend, and saw strong buying interest, driven by improved sentiment following the announcement that the lawsuit seeking the annulment of CHP’s 38th Ordinary Congress was postponed to September 8, 2025. The Index closed the day at 9,948.51, up 5.78%. The Banking Index outperformed, rising 9.64%, while the Industrial Index ended the day up 3.39%. The delay in the CHP case appears to have temporarily eased political uncertainty, and markets have started to price in expectations of a rate cut at the CBRT’s MPC meeting scheduled for July 24. In this context, should the June CPI data, to be released on Thursday, come in below expectations, buying interest in banking stocks may continue in the lead-up to the July 24 meeting. On the global front, markets had a mixed start to the week. While European equity markets closed lower, the U.S. equities ended higher amid optimism surrounding global trade agreements. As of this morning, the U.S. equity futures are slightly lower, while German futures are trading modestly higher, and Asian markets are giving a mixed performance overall. The VIOP-30 Index closed the evening session up 0.44%. Today, markets will be focused on manufacturing PMI data from both domestic and international sources. Locally, we expect the Benchmark Index to start Tuesday on a positive trend, and if potential profit-taking during the session is absorbed, the upward trend may continue. SUPPORT: 9,850 - 9,750 RESISTANCE: 10,050 - 10,150.
