Market Watch (Şeker Yatırım)

The BIST 100 Index started Friday on a positive trend, fluctuated throughout the day and closed the week at 10,358.46, up 0.26%. The Industrial Index rose 0.32%, while the Banking Index declined by 0.13%. The continued, albeit with slowing momentum, expectation that the CBRT will begin interest rate cuts on July 24 continues to support the BIST. Last week, the BIST 100 Index's weekly gain was 0.80%, while the Industrial Index rose 0.93% and the Banking Index gained 3.37%. On the global front tariffs continued to weigh on risk appetite, with stock markets trading negatively on Friday. European and U.S. bourses closed lower on Friday following President Trump's new tariff threats. After his announcement that a 30% tariff would be imposed on EU and Mexican goods, and the EU’s statement that it would reciprocate, the U.S. and DAX futures are on a negative trend this morning, while Asian stock markets are limited positive. The VIOP-30 Index closed Friday evening up 0.10%. As there are no significant macroeconomic data releases this week, we expect domestic political events and international tariff developments to influence the BIST's performance. Locally, we expect the Benchmark Index to start Monday flat and then fluctuate. SUPPORT: 10,250 - 10,150 RESISTANCE: 10,450 - 10,550.
