Outlook:
The BIST 100 Index started Monday on a positive trend, maintained it throughout the day, and closed at 10,616.18, up 2.41%. The Industrial Index rose 2.39%, while the Banking Index gained 1.93%. Domestically, the continued pricing in of price cut expectations regarding Thursday's CBRT interest rate decision supported the BIST's rise. Globally, markets followed a mixed course on Monday. European stock markets, excluding France, closed positively, and the U.S. bourses generally rose, driven by balance sheet expectations. This morning, the U.S. futures were positive, DAX futures were negative, and Asian stock markets were mixed. The VIOP-30 Index closed the evening session flat, down 0.07%. While no significant macroeconomic data releases are expected to guide the markets today, the CBRT's interest rate cut expectations should continue to influence the markets. Locally, we expect the Benchmark Index to start Tuesday on a positive trend and continue its rise as the day progresses, provided that any profit-taking is met. SUPPORT: 10,550 - 10,450 RESISTANCE: 10,750 - 10,900.
Money Market:
The Lira was negative yesterday, weakening 0.02% against the USD to close at 40.3891. The currency also depreciated by 0.30% against a basket of $0.50 and €0.50. Meanwhile, the local fixed income markets were positive. The ten-year benchmark bond was traded within a tight range of 31.54%-31.58%, ending the day at a low of 31.54%, 42 bps below its previous closing.
Company News:
Aselsan (ASELS.TI; OP) has signed export contracts with its international customers in a total amount of USD 75 mn regarding the sales of radar and guided-munitions systems. The contract size corresponds to ~0.5% of Aselsan's total order size.
