Market Watch (Şeker Yatırım)

The BIST 100 Index started Wednesday on a positive trend, which it continued throughout the day to close at 10,618.97, up 1.26%. The Industrial Index rose 1.26% and the Banking Index gained 1.31%. The uptrend at the BIST that began at the start of July continues, with profit-taking observed on rises and reaction purchases observed on pullbacks. At the BIST, where second-quarter financial results are at the forefront, we expect stock-based divergences to become more pronounced depending on the financial releases. Global risk appetite followed a mixed course yesterday. European stock markets saw limited positive closes, while U.S. stocks closed mixed following the Fed's interest rate decision. The Fed, in line with market expectations due to tariff uncertainties, kept interest rates unchanged. Fed Chair Powell stated after the meeting that they had yet to make a decision regarding September and would make it based on the data. Powell's statements have reduced expectations of a Fed rate cut in September. This morning, the U.S. and German DAX futures indexes are showing a slightly positive outlook. Asian stock markets are mixed after the BoJ kept interest rates unchanged, in line with expectations, and revised its inflation forecast upwards for the current year. The VIOP-30 Index closed the evening session up 0.07%. Domestically, the CBRT’s MPC meeting summary will be followed today, while June foreign trade data will be closely monitored on the macroeconomic front. Locally, we expect the Benchmark Index to start Thursday flat, but continue its volatile trend later in the day. SUPPORT: 10,550 - 10,450 RESISTANCE: 10,750 - 10,900.
