Outlook:
The BIST 100 Index started Thursday positively, continued the trend, and closed the day at 10,743.20, up 1.17%. The Industrial Index rose 1.20%, while the Banking Index gained 0.78%. While the uptrend that began in early July remains intact, the Benchmark Index is currently experiencing a volatile trend, with profit-taking driving upward, and reaction purchases driving downward movements. Depending on the ongoing release of second-quarter financial results, we expect stock-based divergences to become more pronounced amid continued volatility. Risk appetite in global markets remained weak yesterday. President Trump signed an executive order imposing tariffs ranging from 10% to 41% on countries operating on the principle of reciprocity. The order stipulated a 15% tariff on Türkiye. Following this development, concerns over reciprocal tariffs intensified, and European and U.S. stock markets closed lower. The negative trend continues this morning in the U.S. and German DAX futures indexes. Asian stock markets are also generally trending downward. The VOIP-30 Index closed the evening session flat, up 0.01%. Macroeconomic data will be watched today, including the release of the U.S. non-farm payrolls and unemployment rates. Domestically, the PMI manufacturing index will be released today. We expect the Benchmark Index to start Friday southbound, in line with international markets, and anticipate continued volatility for the rest of the day. SUPPORT: 10,650 - 10,550 RESISTANCE: 10,800 - 10,900.
